The Simpsons to Produce Judd Apatow-Penned Episode

Beginning to make the media rounds for his upcoming film This Is 40, Judd Apatow stopped by Conan O’Brien’s new web series Serious Jibber-Jabber for an in-depth interview. But his upcoming film isn’t the only thing on Apatow’s mind as of late. According to Apatow, next year The Simpsons plan to produce an episode based on a spec script of his writing.

Apatow wrote the script 22 years ago, and the project was his first foray into comedy writing.
Though the script was never picked up, apparently the Simpsons squad uncovered it and now plan to produce it next year.
