Watch Bob's Burgers' Original Test Pilot

All aspiring television series’ start with a test pilot. From there the creators get notes from the network, tweak what doesn’t work and constantly evolve the show into what viewers eventually grow accustomed to every week.

In 2010, Loren Bouchard developed a test pilot for Fox called Bob’s Burgers. The show has now earned a rightful place on the network’s Sunday “Animation Domination” programming block, but it didn’t start off exactly as fans know it today: Tina was initially a boy and Bob was much harrier.
