Watch the First Video in Neil Patrick Harris' Puppet Web Series

With the help of Jim Henson Studios, Neil Patrick Harris has released the first video of his new web series, Neil’s Puppet Dreams.

Titled “The Lullabye,” this four-minute video features Harris falling through the sky while angel puppets talk to him. Instead of helping the pleading Harris, the puppets break into lullaby.

Harris drew inspiration for his twisted puppet fantasy from his love of the movies Labyrinth and Dark Crystal and his admiration for Jim Henson. In a interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harris talked about his puppet fascination.

“I’m a nerdy, geeky fan of Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. I collect puppet stuff. I have a puppet workshop in my garage. I was looking for any opportunity to be able to get very creatively involved in that world.”

Neil’s Puppet Dreams was produced and co-created by Janet Barney. The web series has found on a home on the Youtube channel Nerdist. Check out the debut video below, and be warned, just because it’s puppets doesn’t mean it’s kid friendly.
