While most indie bands callously ignore their adoring fan bases around the holiday season, Ed Droste and Grizzly Bear have given us all that we could have ever asked for: a dazzling seven-minute montage of stock photos and well-wishes promoting their latest album. Accompanying the evocative images are expansive, piano-only renditions of some of the standout tracks on Shields. It isn’t difficult to let the mesmerizing stream of juxtapositions carry you away into a wondrous—but still a little confusing—world of holiday delights, so we’ve broken it down, frame-by-frame, allowing you can enjoy Grizzly Bear’s gift in moderation.
