Man of Steel Gets New Poster

It’s been over six years since Superman last graced the big screen and anticipation only continues to build as fans await his return next summer. Thanks to Facebook we now have a new poster for Zack Snyder’s upcoming imagining of the man of steel.

Superman himself is handcuffed and being led by soldiers. While Superman is typically seen as the hero, this image paints a different picture and alludes to a possible darker tone (no surprise given Christopher Nolan had a hand in developing the script). Grant Morrison’s recent Action Comics reboot starts in a similar way, with Superman being tortured in a government interrogation in issue No. 2.

Man of Steel—starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Russell Crowe—hits theaters June 14, 2013.
