The xx Cover Wham's "Last Christmas"

The xx covered Wham’s holiday track, “Last Christmas,” transforming the cheery pop song into a dark and twisted tale of love.

Full of romantic synths, echoing guitars and trade-off vocals The xx have brought this classic ‘80s song into modern times. By adding their signature mellow sound, the band has given new meaning to the bummer lyrics about lost love. The band performed the cover as part of their appearance on the BBC Radio One Live Lounge. They also performed their single “Chained” off their latest album Coexist.
