Tron Sequel Moves Forward With New Writer

Disney might have been slightly underwhelmed by the box office performance of 2010’s Tron: Legacy, the film managed to gain enough money to justify a follow-up. Progress on the sequel has been slow, without many new developments as of late. Now, Disney has hired Jesse Wigutow to replace David DiGilio as writer for the project.

According to THR, the sequel is finally beginning to move forward, thanks in part to the efforts of Alan Horn, who took over as chairman of Disney Studios this summer.
