Tweets of the Week

Sometimes what’s trending on Twitter comes from within Twitter itself. That was the case this week with the creation of @SeinfeldToday, an account imagining the predicaments Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer would find themselves in if they had been afforded all of today’s technology—including Twitter, ZipCar, YouTube, Craigslist and more. The account was created Sunday night, and by the time media outlets picked it up it was gaining thousands of followers every few minutes (it’s now approaching 200,000).

Also in the news was the Pope’s first tweet, as well as, of course, 12/12/12 and the night’s Occupy Sandy benefit concert in Madison Square Garden. Read some of Twitter’s reaction to all of this and more below in the Tweets of the Week. Tweets have been ordered more or less chronologically for your convenience.
