Watch a Clip from David Chase’s Not Fade Away

With award season kicking into high gear and the last batch of Oscar bait hitting theaters in the coming weeks, it is easy to overlook a lot of films not featuring A-list actors desperately seeking attention. One such film is Not Fade Away a period drama from Sopranos creator David Chase.

The film chronicles a group of teenagers who decide to form a band after viewing The Rolling Stones on television. Also present is an intriguing generational family conflict between the band’s ringleader and his father (played by James Gandolfini).

In the first clip that has been released, we see the band jamming together for what presumably must be the first time, finding chemistry with one another by playing a Bo Diddley’s classic.

Watch the clip below and also check out the soundtrack for the film. Not Fade Away hits theaters Dec. 21.
