Damien Jurado Releases Video for First Original Christmas Song, "Kallas Hus"

Singer-songwriter Damien Jurado has always been a big fan of the holiday season. Last year he recorded and released a version of “Christmas Time is Here,” and this year he’s written his first original Christmas song, “Kallas Hus.”

Unlike most Christmas songs, “Kallas Hus” isn’t exactly brimming with merriment. It features Jurado’s mournful vocals, a weighty piano line and centers around the lyric “I will never see this Christmas.”

Jurado also teamed up with director Christopher Harrell to film a video for the song. Check it out below.
