Watch the Trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim

After months of anticipation, Guillermo del Toro has arrived with the first official trailer for his upcoming sci-fi epic, Pacific Rim.

Separating itself from similar apocalyptic thrillers, Pacific Rim’s monsters come from the sea rather than the stars. In response to the crippling invasion, humans develop giant mechanized fighting machines controlled by humans from a remote vantage point.

Watch the action-packed trailer below. Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba and is scheduled to be released on July 11.
