Yeah Yeah Yeahs Confirm Spring Release for New LP

We’ve already been given a pretty good indication that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be releasing their fourth full-length album next spring, and now it’s been officially announced through their Twitter.

Earlier today the band tweeted “DNA upgrades, spontaneous evolution and NEW YEAH YEAH YEAHS RECORD ARRIVING SPRING 2013! finally.” They also attached a picture that may or may not be the forthcoming album’s cover. Check it out to the right.

The announcement is not surprising considering previous rumors—including one that they’ve been working with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy—as well as a recent performance at a Hurricane Sandy benefit show. The new album will follow up 2009’s It’s Blitz!
