Beyoncé announced today that Destiny’s Child is back through an announcement on her website. She posted, “I AM SO PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE FIRST ORIGINAL DESTINY’S CHILD MUSIC IN EIGHT YEARS!" The release is titled Love Songs, and is set to be released Jan. 29 via Sony Legacy Recordings according to a post on Amazon. The album would be a compilation of the group’s greatest hits along with one new track, “Nuclear,” produced by both Pharrell and Beyoncé.
The trio first announced their split in 2005 at a Barcelona concert. Their last album was 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled, which featured singles “Lose My Breath,” “Cater 2 U” and “Soldier” and peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. You can preorder the album now on Amazon.
