Dogfish Head to Release New Fruit-Infused IPA

Dogfish Head released a video on Wednesday that announced the addition of a new fruit-infused IPA that’s expected to brew year-round.

The 11-minute video features Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione speaking on a variety of topics focusing on the brewery’s collection of IPAs and the hops celebration events called aHOPeclipse Now! Calagione said he regularly experiments with a few different fruits by introducing them into different batches of beer to develop original flavors. The title of the new brew has not yet been released.

The Delaware-based brewery has another similar style drink titled Hellhound On My Ale that is flavored with dried lemon peel and flesh. As a part of their Music Collaboration Series, Legendary Mississippi blues musician Robert Johnson inspired the development of Hellhound On My Ale and the taste is a nod to Johnson’s mentor, Blind Lemon Jefferson.

The recently announced fruit-infused beer will be available on March 1. Visit the Dogfish Head website for more information.
