Emmylou Harris Charged With Hit-And-Run After Beverly Hills Fender Bender
According to the Associated Press, Emmylou Harris has been charged with a misdemeanor hit-and-run after an accident that took place in Beverly Hills on Oct. 1 around 10 p.m. The prosecutors said that Harris failed to exchange information with the driver she hit.
TMZ first reported the accident back in October of last year, and news emerged today that, after the charge, a lawyer for Harris entered a “not guilty” plea on her behalf. Last year, Harris’ rep told TMZ that the accident was a "garden-variety accident that happens every day on the 405,” and that “she unintentionally rubbed bumpers with another vehicle,” not realizing the car was actually struck.
As the site notes, Harris could face up to six months in jail if convicted.
