The megalomaniacal villain from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ revolutionary Watchmen continues his ascent from boy genius to world leader in the penultimate issue of the miniseries from original Watchmen editor Len Wein and superstar artist Jae Lee.

After travelling the world and losing the love of his life to drug abuse, Adrian Veidt has slowly evolved into a pivotal mover and shaker of American history, guiding the Kennedy presidency and Cuban Missile Crisis. The miniseries also shows a new perspective of the events from Watchmen, with cameos from the other characters who populate this gritty, political universe. This Paste Exclusive Preview hints at new grandiose manipulations from the smartest man on earth. In these four pages, Ozymandias unveils his inspiration for a masterplan that would kill millions of people and inspire a retired generation of heroes to reassemble in a one of the most revered stories of the 20th Century.
