Fox, Ridley Scott to Adapt Mind MGMT Comic Series
This week is just full of MGMT.
First, the band of the same name announced their third album, now Twentieth Century Fox has announced, according to a Hollywood Reporter exclusive, that it has acquired the movie rights to the acclaimed indie comic book series Mind MGMT by writer Matt Kindt.
Prometheus director Ridley Scott is set to produce under his Scott Free production company. Scott Free’s past productions include the CBS procedural Numbers and the critically lauded The Good Wife.
The series, which was published by Dark Horse, concerns a government agency consisting of spies with psychic abilities. After one of the agency’s best and brightest, Henry Lime, suffers a breakdown, his out-of-control abilities cause an entire town to kill each other. Years later, Lime meets up with a true crime writer named Meru and the two begin exploring the agency and its dirty secrets.
The company is currently looking for a writer to adapt the property.
