Alexandre Desplat to Score Grand Budapest Hotel

It seems the barrage of Grand Budapest Hotel news isn’t slowing down in the new year. Following constant casting updates, Collider reported that Alexandre Desplat has signed on the score the project.

Desplat is no stranger to Wes Anderson films, having previously scored Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr. Fox for the director. The four-time Academy Award-nominee recently shaped the sound of Oscar-hopefuls Zero Dark Thirty and Argo.

The exact plot of Grand Budapest Hotel remains a mystery; however, it is chock-full of big-screen talent in Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum and more. It is expected to be released near the end of 2014.
