Justin Timberlake's New Single Expected to Beat First-Week Sales of "SexyBack"
According to Billboard, Justin Timberlake’s comeback single is expected to sell 330,000 to 350,000 downloads in its debut week.
After nearly six years without an album release, “Suit & Tie” is on track to beat the 250,000 first-week downloads of “SexyBack” in 2006. Only seven songs made their debut in 2012 with 300,000 or more downloads within its first week. These include Taylor Swift’s “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.”
“Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z went on sale on Jan. 14. after Timberlake’s surprise announcement three days prior about his return to music.
Timberlake’s third studio album is titled The 20/20 Experience and will be released via RCA Records later this year.
