The Feb. 9 release date for Microsoft’s newest Windows 8-powered tablet was confirmed Tuesday on the software corporation’s website.
A Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge that the Surface Pro tablet will initially only be available for purchase in the United States and Canada.
The Surface Pro is different from its predecessor, the Surface RT, in the following ways: First, it offers pen support. Second, it has a Full HD display. And third, the Surface Pro runs on an Intel Core i5 processor.
The pricing for the new tablet starts at $899 for a 64GB model.
