Morrissey to Postpone Six U.S. Concerts Due to Bleeding Ulcer

Morrissey has postponed six U.S. concerts since being hospitalized Friday in Detroit, Mich. with a bleeding ulcer, according to the BBC.

In addition to this week’s six postponements, the former frontman of The Smiths had already canceled three shows last week, citing “band illness” as the cause.

The six affected cities are Asheville, N.C.; Nashville, Tenn.; Atlanta, Ga.; Lawrence, Kan.; Clear Lake, Iowa and Lincoln, Neb.

The 53-year-old singer is expected to make a full recovery according to his spokesperson. Morrissey plans to resume his tour on Feb. 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
