Oregon Beer Maker Develops Brew for Dogs
What would you give to crack open a cold one with your best four-legged friend? In Bend, Ore., you can do it for $36 (for a six-pack) with “Dawg Grog.” The beer, crafted specifically for dogs, is an alcohol-free mixture of vegetable broth, water and spent grain from creator Daniel Keeton’s Boneyard Brewery. After testing out the product on his own dog, Lola, Keeton launched the company in July with his first customer signing on in December, according to a recent feature by Oregon’s ktvz.com.
The beer is sold in 16 ounce bottles and is meant to be served as a treat either over dry dog food or by itself. The beverage is available at Visit Bend in Oregon or at dawggrog.com.
