Springsteen Invites Tom Morello to Join <i>Wrecking Ball</i> Tour in Australia

According to Bruce Springsteen’s website, Tom Morello will join the Wrecking Ball tour for the upcoming March dates in Australia.

The Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave guitarist will temporarily step in for Stevie Van Zandt while he films his television show Lilyhammer. Van Zandt plans to rejoin the join his bandmates in Oslo, Norway on April 29.

Morello contributed to the tracks “Jack of All Trades” and “This Depression” on the Wrecking Ball album that was released early last year. Also known as The Nightwatchman, Morello has performed with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on multiple occasions since 2008 including at the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert and on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

On Feb. 8, Morello will also perform at the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year event honoring The Boss.
