Australian psychedelic rockers Tame Impala channeled their inner David Lee Roth in the creation of the music video for “Mind Mischief” from their 2012 album Lonerism. The video captures the fantasy of a schoolboy lustfully admiring his teacher.
The video was co-produced by Urban Outfitters and Modular People, the creative team that grew out of the band’s label Modular Records, which is also home to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MSTRKRFT, and fellow Aussies Wolfmother.
The second half of the video in particular is blissfully derailed by the sort of psychedelic detour one might expect from Tame Impala.
Their North American tour kicks of next month in New York and runs through Mar. 12, when it concludes in Boston.
Lonerism, the band’s second full album, came in at Number 16 on our list of our Top 50 Albums of 2012.
