Duncan Jones to Direct World of Warcraft Film Adaptation
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Moon and Source Code director Duncan Jones will be helming Legendary Pictures’ live-action adaptation of the online role-playing game World of Warcraft
Production on the film is expected to begin in fall 2013 with a 2015 release date. The highly secretive script was written by Blood Diamond screenwriter Charles Leavitt.
This job marks a major leap forward for Jones, the son of rock star David Bowie. Prior to this, he has mostly been known for his low-budgeted yet highly cerebral science-fiction stories. The budget on this film is reportedly more than $100 million.
