Before Midnight Gets Limited Release Date
This year at Sundance, Richard Linklater’s Before Midnight was the talk of the town (and our top pick for the best movie at Sundance).
The conclusion (presumably?) to a trilogy of film that started back in 1995 with Before Sunrise and continued with 2004’s Before Sunset, Before Midnight finds Ethan Hawke’s Jesse and Julie Delpy’s Celine returning to the roles they originated nearly 20 years prior (along with a whole new spectrum of topics ripe for long-form conversation).
Viewers curious to know how the couple is coping with middle-age now have a day to mark in their calendar. According to a report by Deadline, Sony Pictures Classics, who acquired the film, will release the third installment on May 24 in the the New York City and Los Angeles area.
As of now, there are no detailed plans for a wider release.
