Deadline broke the news this afternoon that Christina Applegate has left NBC’s Up All Night. The report states the show will be re-conceptualized without the star, with five planned episodes left unfilmed. Applegate has appeared in the show opposite of Will Arnett since the show started in 2011.
“It’s been a great experience working on Up All Night, but the show has taken a different creative direction and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors,” Applegate told Deadline.
The report mentioned rumors that the show would continue and that Lisa Kudrow has been mentioned as a replacement. As previously reported, Applegate is also working on the follow-up to Anchorman.
