Elton John to Appear on Upcoming Queens Of The Stone Age Album

As NME points out, drummer Dave Grohl revealed Elton John will make a guest appearance on the next Queens of the Stone Age album.

Grohl made the surprising announcement while interviewing Elton as the guest host on Chelsea Lately. Grohl described the recording as “something that people wouldn’t imagine the two of us doing.”

Elton commented on the recording process and also complimented Grohl’s talent saying, “After three hours we got it and he [Grohl] drummed on every take and every take was amazing. He’s built like a brick shithouse when he drums.”

If you weren’t already anticipating the new Queens of the Stone Ages’ album due to involvement from Trent Reznor, Mark Lanegan, Nick Oliveri and Jake Shears, the addition of Elton John is certainly enough to pique your interest.
