It looks as though Netflix’s high-budgeted risk for its original series House of Cards has paid off. The series is now one of Netflix’s most streamed titles, according to Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the announcement came during Sarandos’ speech at the D: Dive Into Media conference in Laguna Niguel, Calif. on Tuesday.
Later, a Netflix spokesman clarified that, while House of Cards is more popular than all of the company’s available TV properties, some film titles are still more popular.
The show’s second season is scheduled to be filmed in the spring.
