Kristen Wiig Officially Joins Anchorman 2

Following a tweet from star Christina Applegate, Paramount insiders have confirmed to Deadline that Kristen Wiig has joined the cast of the long-awaited Anchorman sequel.

In December she was rumored to be in talks to play Brick Tamland’s love interest, but now the site reports her role in the film will be a new one.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is set to hit theaters Dec. 20, 2013 with Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner reprising their roles alongside Applegate and new-addition Wiig.
