Mariah Carey Releases New Single for <i>Oz: The Great and Powerful</i>

While it’s been a while since Mariah Carey has dominated the music charts, she has remained in the spotlight with tabloid coverage of her marriage, children and catfights with Nicki Minaj. Thankfully, the five-time Grammy winning singer is getting back to the arts.

Carey recently released a single she recorded for the upcoming film Oz: The Great and Powerful titled “Almost Home” which she co-wrote and produced, as MTV points out.

Starring James Franco, Michelle Williams and Mila Kunis, the film is a prequel that tells the story of how Oscar Diggs becomes the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The film is due out March 8. Listen to the track below.
