Well, this is a new one for Marvel. The beloved comic company is expected to broaden its audience with a new line of romance novels, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Hyperion sent out a press release announcing a deal with Marvel Comics to publish two new romance novels featuring X-men’s Rogue and She-Hulk. The novels will have more romance than other comics but will still have the action and adventure the name Marvel promises.
Editor-in-Chief of Hyperion commented on the new territory saying, “It’s a great time to explore what happens to super-heroines when they are dropped into traditional women’s novels.”
The press release said the two novels, Rogue Touch and The She-Hulk Diaries “showcase strong, smart heroines seeking happiness and love while battling cosmic evil.”
The books will be published in June according to the report.
