The billboards of New York City’s Times Square are serving as the canvas for a series of unconventional valentines this month. Animated love messages will be displayed simultaneously on 15 of the square’s billboards, which were adapted from the neonworks of contemporary British artist Tracey Emin.

“I Promise To Love” is the latest installation in the ongoing art initiative Midnight Moment. The installations—which are presented by the Times Square Advertising Coalition and Times Square Arts—turn Times Square into a digital art gallery every night at 11:57. The collaborative project launched in May 2012 with video portraits from artist Robert Wilson. A different artist’s work is featured each month. The installation has included such names as Yoko Ono, whose messages of peace made their debut last December.

Emin’s “I Promise To Love You” neon notes will run nightly through the month of February.
