Newport Folk Festival Named Pollstar's Music Festival of the Year

The Newport Folk Festival was named music festival of the year yesterday in the 24th Annual Pollstar Awards.

It beat out competitors such as San Francisco’s Treasure Island Festival and New York’s Governor’s Ball Music Festival in a vote decided by subscribers to the magazine Pollstar, a trade publication for the concert industry.

This year’s Newport Folk Festival will take place on July 26 through July 28, and announced acts include Andrew Bird and the Lumineers.
