Jennifer Hudson to Sing With Sandy Hook Elementary Chorus for Super Bowl Pre-Game Show

The National Football League announced Thursday that Jennifer Hudson will be joined by the chorus from Sandy Hook Elementary School in a performance of “America the Beautiful” during the Super Bowl XLVII pre-game show, The Associated Press reports.

Sandy Hook Elementary School was the setting of the tragic school shooting that occurred in Newtown, Conn. on Dec. 14, which ended with the deaths of 20 children and six adults.

The chorus set to perform with Hudson will have 26 children. The performance will be broadcast live on CBS.

Super Bowl XLVII will air Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
