Sony Rumored to Announce PlayStation 4 This Month

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sony is calling an important meeting with investors and media outlets on Feb. 20 in New York.

Though company reps will not confirm the news, a 45-second video accompanying the announcement strongly indicates that the meeting will serve as the official launch of the long-awaited PlayStation 4.

Hints of this news have been floating around since a few weeks back when Sony stated that it would be ceasing production of the PS2 in Japan. The PS2 is the company’s highest-selling console, so this led to speculation that a new console would soon be taking its place.
