The Lumineers' Debut Album Goes Platinum

Spearheaded by their breakout hit “Ho Hey,” Paste “Best of What’s Next” artists The Lumineers have now officially achieved platinum sale status.

Following their performance at the Grammy Awards ceremony last week, the band sold more than 66,000 copies of their eponymous debut album. Since it hit stores last April, the album has pushed more than one million in sales and, this week, held the sixth spot in the overall Billboard chart.

Furthermore, “Ho Hey” now has sold a running total of around 3,500,000 copies. In addition, the success of the song has resulted in The Lumineers becoming the first indie label artists to have their debut single top the Triple A, Alternative Radio and Adult Contemporary charts.
