For many, The Adventures of Pete & Pete was a shining beacon of quality children’s television. A series as strange and quirky as it was heartfelt, the show followed two brothers (both named Pete) and the various ways in which the mundane activities in their lives would transform into a surreal adventures worthy of David Lynch.
So it was no surprise that, when the cast and creators announced they would be reuniting as part of the show’s 20th anniversary for SF Sketchfest in San Franscisco, the show became a hot ticket.
According to a video by Funny or Die, however, the actors had a bit of a rough get-together before the show. Written by show creators Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi, the video depicts series regulars Michael Maronna (“Big Pete”) and Danny Tamberelli (“Little Pete”) meeting up at a diner owned by comedian Paul F. Tompkins. There, they are joined by Rick Gomez (i.e. “Endless Mike”) and Toby Huss (i.e. “Artie The Strongest Man In The World”). And, well, let’s just say it’s a less than cordial affair.
