Modern School of Film Series To Launch with Guest Anthony Bourdain
The Modern School of Film—a popular film series where special celebrity guests are brought in to introduce and discuss a favorite film of theirs—will be launching today at The IFC Center in New York, according to The IFC Center website.
Led by founder Robert Milazzo, the first screening in the series will be Goodfellas which will feature a post-film discussion with noted food and travel show host Anthony Bourdain
Guests already on the schedule for future screenings include Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson, who will lead a discussion on Wong Kar-wai’s In the Mood for Love, You Can Count on Me director Kenneth Lonergan who will screen the William Wyler adaptation of the Sinclair Lewis novel Dodsworth and The Strokes’ guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr. who will highlight the Woody Allen comedy Bananas.
