Community Cast Teases Puppet Episode, Fifth Season at PaleyFest 2013

Community fans, prepare yourselves—the cast is fixing to go all Muppets on you.

According to Deadline’s coverage of the show’s presentation at PaleyFest 2013, showrunners David Guarascio and Moses Port presented a clip from an upcoming all-puppet episode of the show set to premiere in April. Furthermore, at the panel’s conclusion, the cast brought out their puppet avatars to display for the audience.

The episode is also set to have a cameo from former Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander (albeit, in human form).

During the panel, the cast also discussed the possibility of doing a fifth season. Though cast member Chevy Chase will be leaving later this season, Fred Willard—who original showrunner Dan Harmon pursued to play Chase’s role in the pilot before the network insisted on someone more well-known—is reportedly being written in to potentially fill in his shoes.
