Harrison Ford Cast in Anchorman 2

While the Star Wars might still be up in the air, Harrison Ford has now officially attached himself into an entirely different sort of franchise.

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford has been cast to play a legendary, Tom Brokaw-esque newscaster in Anchorman 2, the long-awaited sequel to the hit 2004 Will Ferrell vehicle.

The actor previously portrayed a newsman in the 2010 comedy Morning Glory.

Ford joins a cast that includes returning stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and David Koechner as well as newcomers Kristen Wiig and (possibly) John C. Reilly.
