Kristen Wiig is in talks to star in the Will Ferrell-produced indie film Welcome to Me, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In Welcome to Me, Wiig would play “a woman with dissociative personality disorder who wins the lottery and decides to spend her winnings on a cable access talk show about her life.”
The movie was written by Eliot Laurence and will be directed by Shira Piven, Adam McKay’s wife. McKay, who directed the upcoming Ferrell and Wiig movie Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, is also a producer on Welcome to Me.
The release date and whether or not Will Ferrell will make an on-screen appearance in Welcome to Me is still unknown.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set for a Dec. 20 release date.
