Mark Ruffalo Says Hulk Will Not Return Until Avengers 2
Mark Ruffalo’s fantastic turn as The Hulk might have been the breakout performance of last summer’s megablockuster The Avengers, but don’t expect for Marvel to milk this for all it’s worth (at least, not for now).
Though there has been much discussion regarding a standalone Hulk movie, Ruffalo outright dismissed this rumors, tweeting that he won’t be Hulking out again until The Avengers 2."
“I am not giving up on another stand alone HULK. But it’s not in the works right now,” Ruffalo tweeted. “One never knows what the future will bring.”
Of course, despite Ruffalo’s confirmation that we shall be Hulk-less until 2015, this does not mean that the Marvel world will be without Bruce Banner. With a slate of new Marvel films on the way, including this summer’s Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, a cameo by the tormented scientist is not out of the question.
