Morrissey Announces Medical Hiatus, Cancels U.S. Tour
More bad news regarding a musician’s health. After recently canceling some gigs due to double pneumonia, Morrissey has canceled all his scheduled tour dates to begin a hiatus for tending to his health.
As detailed in a press release, all scheduled dates have been cancelled without rescheduling, citing “a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett’s esophagus and double pneumonia.”
The press release concludes by noting that “Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts” and “refunds for the remaining shows are available at point of purchase.”
Morrissey was able to squeeze out a few shows throughout this health mess, but hopefully some time off without the pressure to perform will allow the singer to properly heal and return when the time is right.
