Morrissey Hospitalized with Double Pneumonia, Cancels San Francisco Concert

After a two-month-long battle with various health issues, Morrissey has been hospitalized in San Francisco due to pneumonia in both of his lungs, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

In 2013 alone, the former Smiths’ frontman has received treatments for a concussion, a bleeding ulcer and Barrett’s esophagus. Morrissey’s current condition forced the cancellation of this past weekend’s performance at Regents Ballroom in San Francisco.

According to a statement via fansite True-to-You, the 52-year-old singer insists that he will headline the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City on March 14.

Morrissey is expected to continue his U.S. tour from March 18 in Lawrence, Kansas until the rescheduled San Francisco concert on May 1.
