Arrested Development fans have been rejoicing since it was announced the show would premiere a fourth season exclusively on Netflix; celebration erupting whenever news surfaces about the upcoming season.
The latest announcement and wave of celebration is brought by Ron Howard, executive producer and narrator of the series. According to TV Guide, Howard will be playing himself in the upcoming season in a series of cameo roles.
Howard and co-producer Brain Grazer, will appear on the show as themselves as producers interested in turning the Bluth family into a movie.
Howard, as a narrator in the last episode of season three, said maybe Arrested Development is more of a movie than a TV show. Howard said they’re following up on that in the upcoming season, creating a “heightened version” of their production company Imagine Entertainment.
The fourth season is set to return this May on Netflix in true Netflix fashion, airing all episodes at once.
