Ryan Adams to Release New Album in Fall with Full Band

The last few years have been a dramatic turn for the better for Ryan Adams. Since marrying Mandy Moore, Adams has slowed down his musical output and focused on, well, being awesome. His last release, Ashes & Fire, was among the best of his career, and now he appears ready to expand back beyond the solo acoustic act.

As CoS points out, Adams will be playing a concert on March 19 at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The gig is for Noel Gallagher’s Teenage Cancer Trust benefit series and will feature Adams backed with a full band for the first time since The Cardinals disbanded in 2009.

The venue’s website says that Adams will be testing some of the songs from his forthcoming album, to be released in the fall. This full-band effort is expected to be produced by Ashes & Fire’s Glyn Johns.

If this new album continues the trajectory that Adams has been on, then we may be in store for another treat.
