Third Hobbit Moves Release Date to December 2014
Looks as though this “Unexpected Journey” will be an even longer one.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the third and final installment in Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit—titled The Hobbit: There and Back Again—had been pushed back five months from its original release date.
Previously slated for a July 18, 2014 date, the film will now hit theaters on Dec. 17, 2014.
Meanwhile, the second installment The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will retain its Dec. 13, 2013 release date.
