Tony Awards Slated for June 9 on CBS
Theater nerds, mark your calendars.
Deadline reports that the 67th annual Tony Awards is set to be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 9.
CBS, which has broadcasted the ceremony since 1978, will once again play host.
Returning personnel includes Glein Weiss, who will be directing the program for the 14th year in a row. Weiss will also act as executive producer along with colleague Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment.
The heat is on the two to bring in a better audience, with last year’s broadcast resulting an all-time ratings low.
Nominations for the awards in each category will be announced on Tuesday, April 30.
