Watch Vampire Weekend Play New Songs at SXSW

Vampire Weekend closed out South by Southwest with a set at Stubbs that included tracks from their upcoming album, Modern Vampires of the City.

The band’s third LP isn’t due until May 7, so it might be a while until we hear these songs in their recorded form. But, both “Diane Young” and “Ya Hey” are strong and quickly accessible, particularly the latter, a five-minute run that is all hooky earworm, unlike anything in the band’s catalog.
